The intention of these of these seven panels is to softly counter the view of some that climate change is only a natural process. Inspired by a NASA graph contrasting natural global temperature change with human induced global warming. Each panel of approximately 24,000 stitches (one stitch = 4 years) represents 100,000 years of Earth’s most recent history. Fluctuations in temperature due to volcanic activity does indeed cause dramatic climate change, however this occurs softly over thousands of years.
