Equinox and Solstice
I am working towards the end of variations of equinox and solstice. The first small artwork was part of an exhibition celebrating Spring Equinox at Fox Yard Studios in Stowmarket at the end of March.
A pair titled ‘Summer Solstice’ will be part of the Open Studios Showcase exhibition at the Quay Arts in the lead up to the Isle of Wight Open Studios.
Other News
Preparations are under way for my Open Studios days – 15th, 16th, 17th May. I have been bead making, so will have some fresh new jewellery as well as my embroidery art.
Meanwhile I am making progress on the second of four large circles, ‘Imbalance’. Having completed ‘Balance’ I still have ‘Deterioration’ and ‘Disintegration’ to look forward if that is not a contradiction!
I am also at the early stage for a return to embroidered cylinders for an idea I have to illustrate my observations of negative change to a small town.
