Although most of us are aware of environmental issues, our busy lives often mean we do not see the small but important deteriorations of our natural world systems. Millions of tiny casual actions (footprints) over time accumulate and add to this harm.
The increase in the use of air travel is contributing to what could be irretrievable damage. In days gone by, air travel was for a much looked forward to holiday, an occasional business trip, a once in a lifetime trip or much needed re union with family. By contrast, today, private jets and other planes are increasingly becoming a cheap form of transport compared to trains which in turn is leading to over tourism.
The planes filled footprint on the top surface creates a ripple outward to floods and wildfires in the top part of the side. Fine wire paths fly oblivious over the destruction to holiday destinations screened by a thin veneer of nature in the form of trees.
